The CD Printer, which uses thermal transfer technology, has the best results on smooth media that is neither porous nor ink jet printable. The best media are lacquer and thermal white coated.What kind of maintenance does the printer require? Maintenance is generally limited to replacing the print ribbon and cleaning the print head with each new ribbon. The print head generally needs to be replaced every 10,000 full cd printings.What print ribbon do I use for lacquer, matte, or white-coated media? All of our print ribbons are multi-purpose. All you need to do is select the color.What ribbon colors are available? Single-Color Ribbons: (The lowest cost printing solution)- Our standard single colors are Black & Red. Other single colors are available upon request (minimum quantities are required) Two-Color Ribbons: (Economical spot color solution- Red & Black, Green & Black, or Blue & Black Three-Color Ribbons: (For full color printing) How many CDs can I print per ribbon?
